Lori Hakim creates contemporary jewellery with a distinctive personality and tactile quality.
Her work draws from vintage colour combinations, bold patterns and kitsch objects. She draws influence from finding, collecting, assembling and interpreting what is around her.
Playful in her approach to making, her work is injected with honesty and spontaneity. Lori fuses traditional and modern techniques in her practice. Her pieces incorporate enamelling, casting, painting and 3d printing.
Lori creates all her work by hand in her Mornington Peninsula studio and enjoys every single minute of bringing her designs to life. To her, the only thing better than making jewellery is seeing it worn and enjoyed.
